Spain's future queen turns 10. Leonor, Princess of Asturias (Leonor de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Ortiz, born 31 October 2005) is the elder daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain. Leonor is first in the line of succession to the throne.
Three months later in January 2006, Leonor's baptism took place at Zarzuela Palace conducted by the Cardinal Archbishop of Madrid, Antonio Rouco Varela. Her godparents were her paternal grandparents, King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia.
In 2014, her grandfather abdicated the Spanish throne, thereby making Leonor's father King and Leonor first in line to succeed him. At this time, she became "Her Royal Highness The Princess of Asturias". Happy birthday, Princess Leonor!
