The Pascua Militar is a New Year's military parade which is held annually on the Day of Epiphany at the Royal Palace in Madrid.
King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 'Pascua Militar' ceremony at the Royal Palace on January 6, 2016 in Madrid, Spain. The day has been celebrated in Spain since 1782 when the Spanish Military won an important battle on the island of Mallorca on the Feast of the Epiphany, and the King, Carlos III, declared that henceforth the military would be honored on his day.
January 6 is the annual Pascua Militar in Spain, and King Felipe, in full military regalia, and Queen Letizia attended for their second year since Felipe became King in 2014.
