In keeping with a tradition and deeply rooted in the family, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain took their daughters to collect gifts from their maternal grandfather, Jesus Ortiz.
It was in the afternoon of Wednesday January 6 when, as always driving his private car, Felipe VI carried Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia home of his father-in-law to spend the afternoon with him. They have been doing for several years.
Shortly after the ceremony of "Pascua Militar", King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia and their daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia visited Jesus José Ortiz who is the father of Queen Letizia for the celebrations called "Epiphany Day" or "Three Kings Day" In Spain and some Latin countries, Epiphany day is called El Día de los Reyes.
The Epiphany Day in Spain is the day gifts are given to and taken from children. The children in Spain wait for the coming of "Three Kings" day as children in USA and other countries wait with great expectations for the coming of Santa.
