Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg and her son, His Highness Prince Felix of Denmark, attended on Sunday in the Ecco Walkathon in favour of SOS Children’s Cities and Heart Association. The Ecco Walkathon is a charity event in four Danish cities - the capital Copenhagen and the three cities of Aalborg, Odense and Kolding.
According to the official programme, the Countess would have walked the family route which is six kilometres long. However, the Countess and her son changed this and wished to open the new “Café-latte-route” that is two kilometres longer.

Countess Alexandra and Prince Felix participated in the event in the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Luckily, the sun was shining with a clear sky in the city yesterday, so the royals had a beautiful Sunday to participate in the event. During the walk, the Countess took time to stop and see some of the historical sights in the capital. This was also something that interested Prince Felix.
The older son of the Countess and brother of Prince Felix, Prince Nikolai, did not have the opportunity to join his mother and brother in the charity event. Prince Nikolai had to stay at Herlufsholm during the weekend. Herlufsholm is the boarding school the Prince is currently attending.
Prince Felix has become a little more visible in the media and the Danish Royal Family’s official events after he was confirmed in April this year. Prince Felix, who is eighth in line to the Danish throne, was born on 22 July 2002 in the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. At the time of his birth, he was fourth in line to succeed his grandmother.
Prince Felix and Prince Nikolai are both sons of Prince Joachim and his former wife, Countess Alexandra of Frederiksborg. This makes them the grandsons of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and the nephews of Denmark’s next King, Crown Prince
